This summer we are indoors more than out….rain, rain go away! My children are great at entertaining themselves. But I do remember rainy summer days when they were very young, and my go solution was always a crafty thingy and more often than not it involved a paper plate! I was not blogging back then, so unfortunately can’t share photos of our creations. But here are some great ideas to inspire you and your stack of paper plates!
Why wouldn’t you want your dinosaurs to be sparkly! Love this paper plate craft from The Craft Train.
Isn’t she gorgeous!! I would love a swimming cap just like hers! Check out this and other paper plate crafts form Pink Stripy Socks!
I Heart Crafty Things brings this larger than life Hippo! I great project to do before or after a trip to the zoo!
I found a ladybird on my laundry the other day. Everyone wanted to be the one to hold her up high and tell her to fly away home. I love this paper plate craft from Housing a Forest, I suspect some of you might too!
These whales are probably a little more work than the other crafts, but well worth the work. If the rain lasted a few days, they could be incorporated to an under the sea world…..a blog for another rainy day! Have a ‘whale of a time’ making these over on Krokotak!
Since we are under the sea, what not stay there with an ingenious paper plate seahorse!
No deep sea project would not be complete with out the shinny gills of a shoal of fish!
