There are only a few days left until the Easter weekend and thats plenty of time to decorate your home or create a table centre piece for your family celebrations.
Two years ago I introduced you to my Easter tree decorations collection that I have built up since my sister began the tradition in our home over the 20 years ago. This year, I bought some new glass and pastel eggs from Knobs and Knockers on Nassau Street, Dublin; and decided that I would not break out my Easter box, and just keep things nice and simple.
You will need:
- A jug, vase or large vessel of some sort
- Twigs or branches
Yep, that’s it – quick and easy! It is important the vessel used is tall enough to support the branches to prevent them falling over. Once the branches are in the vase, decorate as you like!
For decorations, check out Knobs and Knockers, Magical Moments in Blackrock Market, Heitons, Tiger, Dunnes, Pennies, and hardware stores (I know, sound weird place to find Easter decorations, but true!!), Dealz and the Euro Shop. If you don’t fancy dangling eggs 😉 pretty pastel bows tied to the end of the branches works a treat too!
Add a little extra to your Easter table with a DIY ‘Happy Easter Cake Bunting’. Don’t forget to tag @thesimpleowl on Instagram to share your Easter decor.
I hope your Easter is ‘eggstra’ special and you get as much chocolate as is possible to get, and a little more.
